How does this picture tell the story of a buy to let in Manchester success story?

Where was it taken? Who is that man? What is he holding!?

Let me explain….

This is Rob, he is a successful landlord with a growing portfolio in Manchester. He works as part of an offshore inspection team on an oil rig in the North Sea. The nature of his job takes him off shore for a few weeks at a time and then he returns home to spend time with his family, friends and building his property portfolio.

I think his story is really interesting as it shows how by being different and applying focus, drive and determination you can build a  great buy to let portfolio in Manchester. Instead of coming off shore for a few weeks and sitting on the sofa, Rob is out and about meeting Estate Agents, making offers and getting his properties ready to let.

I think it is great that Rob has another income stream outside of property to fund his property investments. I do believe that too many people think that property is a get rich quick strategy, believe me it is isn’t. Having multiple income streams is by far the best strategy for success.

So what is Rob holding in his hands on the oil rig in the North Sea!? It is an Abode “I’m a happy landlord sign”!  A big thank you to Rob for getting harnessed up to hold that for us in what looks like rather windy and wild conditions!

We worked with Rob to secure the tenant for a buy to let in Manchester. We liaised in person while he was on dry land and continued communciation to the North Sea via email. The property was beautifully presented and the first tenant who saw it took an application, she moved in 4 weeks later. Rob looks after his own properties as he is very hands on however the tenant has our details should an emergency happen and Rob be stuck on the oil rig!
